Privacy Policy: Slash Burst (Chrome extension)

Effective date: June 22, 2026

Slash Burst is a Chrome extension: a snippet expander and AI prompt library that inserts your saved text into web text fields when you type a short slash command. This policy covers the extension.

The short version

What it stores (on your device only)

The extension saves your snippets, folders, settings, and usage counts in your browser's extension storage, on your own device. This never leaves your device, and uninstalling the extension removes it. You can optionally connect a Sync File (a JSON file you choose) as a backup; that file stays on your own disk.

What it does on the pages you visit

To detect a slash command and insert your snippet, Slash Burst reads the text you type into editable fields on the page. This happens locally in your browser. It does not collect or transmit the content of the pages you visit. When you use the {clipboard} placeholder, it reads your clipboard to insert it, locally, and does not send it anywhere.

Payments (Pro upgrade)

The optional Pro upgrade is processed by ExtensionPay and Stripe. To complete your purchase and verify your paid status, they receive your email address and payment details. We never receive or store your card information. See ExtensionPay and Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Permissions

Children

The extension is not directed to children under 13, and it collects no personal data from anyone beyond the payment path described above for people who choose to upgrade.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above reflects the latest version.
